Palm Sunday has a long history across the world where people come together and mobilise for a peaceful future and nuclear disarmament.

But this year, Palm Sunday this year falls on April 1 - April Fools Day.

As such, a growing collaboration of groups has seized upon the opportunity to come together, in this federal election year, to demand our political representatives stop their Nuclear Foolishness, instead creating a future for Australia that is free uranium mines, nuclear waste dumps, nuclear power stations and to get out from under the American Nuclear weapons umbrella.

In Darwin, we'll mark the occassion at Nightcliff Markets, with music, speakers, street theatre and more ...
Gather at 11am on the Oleander St side of the markets. Prizes for the most foolish costume.

----

Nuclear Fools Day 2007 will be a national day of action across Australia, with flagship events in Melbourne and Sydney a matter of weeks before the pivotal Australian Labor Party (ALP) national conference on April 29 at which the ALP position on the uranium industry in Australia.

For a peaceful and nuclear free future!

    * STOP NUCLEAR POWER IN AUSTRALIA: RENEWABLES NOT REACTORS!
    * STOP URANIUM MINING: LEAVE IT IN THE GROUND!
    * STOP NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND WARS: REJECT THE US NUCLEAR UMBRELLA!
    * STOP NUCLEAR WASTE: NO WASTE DUMP IN AUSTRALIA!
